David Chaffee Obituary
He was a graduate of CPP East High School, 1964. As a member of the US Air Force, David proudly served his country in Viet Nam. He worked 37 years for the IRS in Fresno, CA, and retired 5 yrs. ago. Dave enjoyed bowling, sports (Baseball), music, dancing and he had a great compassion for animals, especially his "indoor, outdoor" cats.
He is survived by his wife, Jan; his children, Susan Albert and James Stanley. His legacy is carried on through his "Grandchildren", Ashley McDonald (Clay), Kelly Dell Barnes (Shane), Angelina Lewis, Rachael Stanley, Laura Stanley, Kasper Albert, Imani Poole; two sisters, Margaret (Peggy) Chaffee of Elmira, NY and Kathleen (Kathy) Spear (Ed) of Campbell, NY; niece, Sharon in Clearwater, FL and Wendy in Corning, NY; nephew, Alan (Karen) in Campbell, NY; 5 great nephews; and a great niece.
A memorial service for Dave was held in Fresno at The Church of Christ on Jan. 16, and he was buried at the San Joaquin National VA Cemetary, Santa Nella, CA. A memorial "Get Together" was held March 8th at the American Legion in So. Corning for local friends and family to celebrate David's life.

The class of 1964 lost a wonderful fellow classmate. I am so glad I got to see Dave at our 50th class reunion last summer. My prayers go out to his family
