David Soles Obituary

David A. Soles, 60, of Bath, NY, passed away unexpectedly, April 7th.

David aka "Rooster" was a light in people's lives - he could literally light up any room and brighten anyone's day with his infectious laugh. He was a loving partner, stepfather, son, brother, papa roo roo, uncle and friend. Those who knew David, knew that he was a free-spirited, one-in-a-million kind of man that loved his family more than anything.

He was the type of man that would give the shirt off his back to help those in need and just wanted to make everyone around him laugh. Through childhood, and into adulthood he had a special bond with his brothers and sisters and was always the light of EVERY family event - making everyone around him belly laugh. Him and his brother Danny had an underlying passion for football and especially loved the Dallas Cowboys. Among many things, he loved to hunt, fish, play pool, listen to music, go to concerts, have deep conversations about life, go for car rides and walk his dog. He absolutely loved Spring time with all the different flowers and he loved decorating during Christmas time-especially having a fascination for the lights. He will be most remembered for ALWAYS laughing, dancing and being the life of the party, asking you where's my 20?

David is predeceased by his parents, Daniel E. Soles and Cora Soles (Travis), brother Ed Travis, sister, Paula Soles and nephew Christopher Soles.

He leaves behind his partner of 23 years, Annabella Otero, stepson Travis Otero, granddaughter Piper, brother Danny Soles (Nicole), sisters Darla Costa (Chris Landahl) and Karla Buckley (Robert), nieces Theresa Costa, Brooke Buckley, Holly Travis (Bianchi), Sara Travis (Tilley), nephew Trent Buckley, great niece Rebekah Overhiser (Soles), best friend David Casey, his dog Brendall (who never left his side) and many other close family members and friends.

Although he is no longer with us, we know that his bright light will always illuminate our lives and his laughter will always be engraved in our memories. Above all, Uncle Dave, I know you'd find it funny, that after all this time, we finally found your 20.

We love you forever and always.

There will be a celebration of life at a later time with close family and friends.
