Dorothy Beebe Obituary
Dorothy loved the time spent with her family, especially if it included a chicken barbecue and a good game of scat. She enjoyed all types of sewing and was an avid reader.
Left to cherish her memories are her children and their spouses, Barbara and William Reynolds of Lindley, Steve and Jeanne Beebe of Hornby, Larry Beebe and Jan Force of Addison, Emma and John Wilson of Corning, Tina and Mirl Smyers of Brooksville, FL, Ruth and Paul English of Stanley, NC; brother, Lynn Force; sisters, Leona Vanzile, Donna Ayers, Ellen Ayers; 17 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and extended family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 4 years, Paul Gorton, Sr.; husband of 46 years, Larry Beebe; son, Paul Gorton, Jr.; brothers, Earl, Pete and Jerry Force; sisters, Shirley Allen, Rita Copp and Betty Goodrich and one great grandchild.
A graveside service will be held at 1 pm, Saturday, November 3, 2018 at Elmwood Cemetery, Route 225, Caton with Mort Gridley officiating. The family will receive friends, for a time of refreshment and reflection, immediately following the service at the South Corning Fire Department, 7 Clark St., Corning.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Dorothy's name may be made to Gaston Hospice, P.O. Box 3894, Gastonia, NC 28054. Condolence messages may be made to the family online by visiting www.mcleanfuneral.com.

So very sorry for the loss of your Mom. She always was up for a good time!! Had a great laugh that everyone who heard it knew Dorothy was around and wanted to see what she was up to!! As a young child enjoyed going to her home in Caton with Tina, one of my bestie friends!! She will be missed!
