Linda Schwarz Obituary
Corning - Linda R. Schwarz, age 67 of Corning, NY passed away on Monday, June 7, 2021 at her home.
Born on June 19, 1953 in Liverpool, NY, she was the daughter of the late William and Lydia (Kautzman) Robinson. Linda was a graduate of Liverpool High School, class of 1971. She married Stephen Schwarz on September 29, 1990 in Liverpool, NY. She worked as a manager for Global Immigration and Expatriate Services for Corning, Inc. retiring in 2008 after 21 years of active service and 34 years total service.
After retirement, Linda volunteered her time for Meals on Wheels. She was a longtime member of the Corning YMCA, enjoying racquet ball and a member of a local book club and Mexican Train club. She loved to travel anywhere and everywhere trying new foods. Linda loved animals, especially her two dogs KC and Tess, the boxer dogs who have both passed on.
Linda is survived by her loving husband, Stephen A. Schwarz; son, Bryan D. Alipiev of Portland, OR; and brother, James (Debbie) Robinson of Phoenix, NY.
Family and friends are invited to visitation on Monday, June 14, 2021 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Phillips Funeral Home, 17 W. Pulteney Street Corning, NY. A memorial service will immediately follow at the funeral home at 3:00 pm, Celebrant, Barb Rossi officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Linda's name may be sent to: Corning Cancer Center, 2 Guthrie Dr., Corning, NY 14830 or to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, 1275 York Avenue, New York, NY 10065, https://giving.mskcc.org.

Linda made my day in the halls of Corning Inc every time I saw her. Upbeat, always positive, always will to help others and a great team player...it is truly sad she has left us, but just thinking of her makes me smile...I had to leave to see my ailing brother in MN so I missed the service...but she will always be on my list.
