William Naida Obituary
Corning - William M. "Mike" Naida, age 68, of Corning, NY died on Sunday, April 4, 2021 at Steuben Center in Bath, NY.
Mike was born on October 14, 1952 in Corning to Stanley and Veronica (Sims) Naida. He was a graduate of West High School and was a property manager for EDC Management.
He enjoyed fishing and gardening, but he will always be remembered for his prize-winning pumpkins.
He is survived by his two daughters, Michelle (Scott Bradley) Naida of Corning and Megan (Corey May) Naida of Alpine, NY; granddaughter, Brianne; 9 brothers and sisters: Sam (Sally) Naida of Buckley, WA, Judy Atwell of Maryland, Nancy (Steve) Dygert of Weatherford, TX, Christine Heverly of Corning, Anne Naida of Elmira, NY, Scott (Vicki) Naida of Painted Post, NY, Stephen Naida of Sealy, TX, Maureen (Kevin) Fish of Painted Post, and Tom (Karen) Naida of Sealy, TX; sister-in-law, Irene Naida of Corning; and many nieces and nephews.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Mary Ellen "Sissy" Naida; brother, Brian Naida; and a brother-in-law, Norman "Limey" Heverly.
It was his wishes that there be no public services.
Mike's care was entrusted to Haughey Funeral Home, Inc.

Growing up with the Naida family in Riverside, I consider myself very lucky to have had such great neighbors/friends. Mike helped me out when I was moving for the State Police. He "saved the day" for me and my family, which I have never forgotten. Rest well old friend. My sincere condolences to your family. Walt DeLap

Mike, so sorry to hear of your passing. I met Mike in the early 70’s, then more frequently when his daughters and our kids rode horses in 4 H. RIP my friend!

Mike was a great neighbor and a good friend. We lived next to him for 20 years.
He was always there for us and never asked for anything in return. We will miss him.
