Jonah Phillips Obituary
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary Alice and Jonah Dewey (J.D.) Phillips Sr., and brothers Wayne Phillips and Troy Phillips, all of Wilson.
Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Diane Phillips; brother Neil Phillips (Jo Ann) of Wilson; sister Joy Phillips (John Price) of Wilson; brother Andy Phillips (Anne) of Wilson; and niece Allison Phillips and nephew Ryan Phillips. He also leaves behind their beloved cocker spaniel, Prissy.
Dewey was a 1970 graduate of Atlantic Christian College and proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War from 1966 to 1968.
A funeral service will be held at a later date at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church in Raleigh.
