Mona Brewer Obituary
The family will receive friends Tuesday afternoon from 12 - 1:45 p.m. at Joyner's Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson and other times at the home.
Mona retired from Wilson Veterinary Hospital after thirty-six years of service to the animals of the community. She had a love for all animals and comforted countless animal parents in her career. Mona was devoted to her family and friends and cherished spending time with them. She was full of love, laughter, and resilience. Mona touched the lives of all who knew her.
Mona is survived by her daughter, Cathy Ordess and husband, Jody; son, Rusty Brewer and Deborah; granddaughters, Jessica James and husband, Chris and Emily Brewer; grandson, Dusty Brewer and wife, Stephanie; great-grandchildren, Dillon Bunn, Baxter Brewer and Luke James; sister, Ann Bailey and her long-life friend, Dorothy "Doc" Bynum.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jarvis Brewer of thirty-two years, and her parents, Don and Hazel Gardner.
