WANAMIE — Robert Raineri, 64, of Wanamie, passed away unexpectedly at home, Sunday, Jan. 31, 2021.
Born June 24, 1956, in Nanticoke, he was a son of the late Edward and Matilda (Vishnefski) Raineri. Bob graduated from John S. Fine High School with the Class of 1974 and earned a degree in architectural drafting at Luzerne County Community College.
He owned and operated Bob's Auto Center on West Union Street, Nanticoke, for over 35 years. Bob will be remembered as a "people person" who liked to help others, from remodeling projects to landscaping or any other work anyone needed help with. He also served his community on the Greater Nanticoke Area school board for many years. He loved sports, especially Penn State football and enjoyed being involved in youth programs.
He was a member of St. Faustina Parish, as well as the Sons of the American Legion and Fraternal Order of Eagles, Nanticoke.
Bob was the definition of a true family man. He loved his family beyond words, especially his grandchildren. He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Eileen (Omolecki); daughter, Dr. Gina Hudson and husband, Kevin, of Evans, Ga.; son, Robert Raineri and wife, Renee, of Lancaster, N.Y.; grandchildren, Garrett, Cole, Reese, Benjamin and Alexander; sisters, Diane Raineri, Karen Elisio and husband, Lou and Maria Pascoe and a brother, Edward Raineri and wife, Lisa. Bob will also be sadly missed by several in-laws, nieces and nephews.
A walk-through viewing will be held Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Davis-Dinelli Funeral Home, 170 E. Broad St., Nanticoke.
The family will have a private blessing service with Fr. Richard Fox, a family friend, officiating.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Bob's memory to your favorite charity.

So sorry and surprised to hear of Robert's passing. I have many fond childhood memories of birthday parties, Christmas visits (remember those days when your parents made you get all dressed up in your Sunday finest to go holiday visiting - the only good thing about that was all the cookies you got to eat), Saint Joseph's Church bazaars, Saint Joseph's school and the recess times in the (what was then an) empty lot behind the school, across the alley. I was recently watching a video of "Peranski Memories", old home movies my dad took as we were growing up that we had put on DVD. It is amazing how many birthday parties at our Prospect Street house were attended by the Raineri Family. Brought back great memories.
