Armond Patrick Andrus

SEGUIN, TEXAS - Armond Patrick Andrus, age 79 of Seguin, formerly of San Antonio, passed away peacefully on January 20, 2014.

Armond was born on January 16, 1935 in Sunset, Louisiana to Benjamin and Felicia Guillory Andrus.

Armond is preceded in death by his parents, his loving brothers Adam, Bennett, Marshall, Easton, Lee Roy, Lloyd, John, Marion and sister Pearl.

Armond is survived by his wife of 50 years, Patti K Andrus (Rollins); daughter Kim Draper with husband Mark, daughter Kelly Andrus with husband Michael Gruenewald; son Daron Andrus with wife Alison, grandsons Kyle, Camden and Connor; and son Stephen Andrus with granddaughter Perrine "Sweet Pea." Armond is also survived by his sisters Rose Devillier, Clona Dugas, Patsy Primeaux, Emma Constantine, Ann Harris, and sisters-in-law Lita Andrus, Rena Andrus and Lou Sibille Andrus along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Armond retired in 2010 and cultured a second family with his colleagues at the printing firm where he worked for over 50 years. Armond's sense of humor was intact during his final days of life, being his usual wily self cracking jokes and poking fun while surrounded by loved ones. His legacy of long road trips, collecting coins and enjoying good food will long be remembered and cherished by all who knew him.

A memorial service celebrating his life will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2014 at 3:00pm at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel in Seguin. A reception for family and friends will follow. A private interment will be held at a later date.
