Christopher Miller Obituary
Broussard - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 3:30 PM on Wednesday, March 24, 2021, at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Broussard for Christopher Lee Miller, 42, who passed away on March 21, 2021.
Fr. Keith Landry, Pastor of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in New Iberia, will serve as Celebrant of the Mass and will conduct the funeral services.
Burial will take place in Sacred Heart of Jesus Mausoleum in Broussard.
Chris, a life-long resident of Broussard, was the son of Cecil Miller and the former Vickie Miguez.
Born and raised in Broussard, Chris attended Ovey Comeaux High School, Class of 1996. A self-taught mechanic, Chris owned and operated a small engine repair shop that he was extremely proud of. An avid hunter and fisherman, he loved spending time outdoors whenever possible. He will be dearly missed by all who encountered him, especially through his love of billiards. Most of all, Chris will be remembered best as the devoted, loving father of 3 children whom he adored.
He is survived by his children, Hayden Miller, Kahne Miller and Ayla Smith Miller; parents, Cecil and Vickie Miller; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins & friends.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Heather Renee Miller; maternal grandparents, Leroy and Nella Miguez; paternal grandparents, Wesley and Ethel Miller; paternal step-grandmother, Marlene "Snooky" Miller; and aunt, Celine Miller Guillory.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Delhomme Funeral Home - Broussard beginning at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, March 23, 2021. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 PM on Tuesday evening in the funeral home. Visiting hours will continue through the evening into Wednesday, March 24, 2021, until the time of service.
Pallbearers will be Stacy Miguez, Damian Miguez, Dillon Miguez, Ray Bourque, Connie Burleigh and Colby Deffes.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Hayden Miller and Kahne Miller.
