Dominic Guidry Obituary
DUSON - Funeral services will be held at St. Theresa of the Child Jesus Catholic Church, Friday, May 31, 2013 at 10:00 am for Dominic Guidry, 91 who died Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Lafayette.
Interment will be in the St. Theresa Cemetery.
Surviving are two sons; Roland Guidry and wife Veronica and Kenneth Guidry and wife Katie; daughter-in-law Yvette Guidry; his dear friend, Maudry Viator; six Grandchildren, Bart Guidry and wife Venus, Shelley Guidry Miller and husband Brian, Brandon Billeaud and wife Nicole, Haley Guidry, Michael Guidry and Kasha Guidry; and 13 Great Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by wife, Bertha Champagne Guidry; parents Camille and Anelia Hebert Guidry; and one son Mitchell Guidry.
He was born in Lyons Point, LA, son of Camille Guidry and Anelia Hebert Guidry.
Mr. Guidry was born July 23, 1921 in Lyons Point, La and graduated from Midland High School. He owned the REO Theater in Duson and managed Twin Drive Inn and Showtime Drive Inn. He was a World War II Veteran serving in Guadalcanal Campaign as a Navy Medic, and a lifetime member of VFW Post 9822.
Friends will be received Thursday, May 30, 2013 4:00 pm - 9:00 pm & Friday, May 31, 2013 8:00 am - 10:00 am at St. Theresa of the Child of Jesus Church Hall.
The family would like to thank Dr. Dealvare and the nursing staff of Our Lady of Lourdes.
