LAFAYETTE - Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at a 2:30 PM Mass of Christian Burial in St. Genevieve Catholic Church in Lafayette for Frank Ambrose Ledet, Sr. 95, who died on Saturday, May 23, 2015 at Silverado Kingwood Memory Care Community in Kingwood, Texas.

Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.

Reverend Michael DeBlanc, II, Associate Pastor of St. Genevieve Catholic Church, will be the Celebrant of the Funeral Mass and will conduct the funeral services. Musical selections will be "Amazing Grace," "Psalm 23," "I Can Only Imagine," "Make Me A Channel of Your Peace," and "On Eagles' Wings."

He leaves to cherish his memory one daughter, Pamela Ledet; four sons, Frank Ledet, Jr. and his wife, Brenda, James Ledet, Sr. and his wife, Lucia, Donald Ledet and Michael Ledet and his wife, Donna; eight grandchildren, Michael Ledet, Jr., Prudence Fayard, Frank Ledet III, Christine Laugharn, Christopher Ledet, Katherine Nguyen, Desiree Gonzales, and Jessica Ledet; and numerous great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sylvia Reaux Ledet; his parents, Junius and Marie Bordelon Ledet; his siblings, Cleveland Ledet, Charles Ledet, Sister Eymard, Clara Colvin, JP Ledet, Celeste Smith, and Mamie Ledet; and two grandsons, James Ledet, Jr. and Jonathan Ledet.

Frank Ambrose Ledet was a native of Port Barre, Louisiana a resident of Lafayette and Gretna, Louisiana and currently resided in Kingwood, Texas. Mr. Ledet attended Cathedral High School, and graduated in 1939. He was a Veteran of military service, having proudly served his country in the United States Navy as a Boatsman Mate 2nd Class from 1941-1945. He worked as a Locomotive Engineer with Southern Pacific Railroad for over 45 years until his retirement. He was a member of the St. Martha Catholic Church Community in Kingwood, Texas, the Knights of Columbus, American Legion, Veterans of Foreign War and the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers. He loved spending time with his family and friends and vacationing at the beach. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

The family requests that visitation be observed at Martin & Castille's DOWNTOWN Location on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 from 10:00 AM until time of services.
