Ronnie A. Woods, 57, of Carencro, Louisiana, peacefully transitioned at home on March 23, 2026, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on June 22, 1968, to the late Esther B. Woods and O'Neil Woods Sr. As the baby of the family, Ronnie was truly one of a kind, loved deeply and, by many accounts, just a little spoiled.

Ronnie was a man full of personality, strong-willed, stubborn in his own way, and never afraid to speak his mind. He lived life on his own terms, often "talking mess" and keeping those around him laughing. He wasn't one for the spotlight and especially didn't care much for taking pictures, but his presence and spirit left a lasting impression on everyone who truly knew him.

He found joy in the simple but meaningful moments: playing cards, spending time at family gatherings, enjoying casino trips, and expressing his love through cooking and baking. One of his greatest acts of love was being a devoted caregiver to his mother, a role he carried with strength, patience, and dedication.

Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents, Esther B. Woods and O'Neil Woods Sr.; two brothers, Ernest Woods and Michael Woods; two sisters, Edna Andrus and Elizabeth Woods; and one brother-in-law, Lawrence Rubin.

He leaves to cherish his memory two brothers, O'Neil Woods Jr. (Mary Jane) and Carrol Woods (Emily); two sisters, Debra Woods and Helen Rubin; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends who will miss him dearly.

Ronnie will be remembered for his bold spirit, his humor, and the way he showed up for his friends and family in his own unique way.
