Edward "Butch" William

September 4, 1950 – March 12, 2026

Edward "Butch" William passed away peacefully on March 12, 2026, at Lafayette General Medical Hospital at the age of 75.

He was born on September 4, 1950, in Lafayette, Louisiana, to the late Angelle Levine and Lawrence Williams. Edward was one of eight siblings: Lena, Gustavia, Hilda, Doris, Curley, Emma, and Felton "Lou Tee".

Edward leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife, Maryann Bernard William; his two daughters, Keesha Williams and Jessica Williams; his four grandchildren; and his great-grandson.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Angelle Levine and Lawrence Williams; his brother, Curley; his sisters, Gustavia and Lena; and his grandson, Cailin.

Edward spent much of his life working as a truck driver. Later in life, he chose a new career path and worked as a security guard at Borden's. He had a deep love for music and treasured time spent with his family. His greatest joy was being surrounded by his loved ones, especially his grandchildren.

Edward "Butch" William will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his hard work, and the love he shared with those around him. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
