Rosa Mae (Rose) Harmon Chretien was born January 26, 1949, to Ucille and Rev. Morris Harmon, Sr. of Ridge, Louisiana. She departed this earth to her Heavenly home on March 7, 2026. She went peacefully as she entered an eternal resting place with the Lord.

Rose was a devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and aunt whose life was rooted in love and quiet strength. A dedicated homemaker, she found joy in caring for her family, especially through her love of cooking and shopping for those she cherished. At home, Rose enjoyed peaceful moments crocheting and working through word search puzzles, simple pleasures that reflected her gentle spirit.

Her faith in the Lord was the foundation of her life. She loved to sing, and her voice was often lifted in praise, filling her home with warmth and devotion. Though soft-spoken and humble, Rose's presence brought comfort, and her warm smile and laughter could brighten any room. She will be remembered not only for her kindness and grace but for the lasting love she shared with everyone blessed to know her.

Rose leaves to cherish her four grandchildren, Brittany Darby, Erika Darby, Ashley Ledet, and Ronnell Jones, Jr.; seven great-grandchildren, Karter Marshall, Kali Marshall, Kaidence Darby, Kaison Darby, Khylon Darby, Anavia Thomas, and Travis Thibeaux; a brother, Nathaniel Harmon, Sr. (Geraldine B.); three sisters, Jaunita Thomas (Jack), Gloria Jones (Alton), and Pearla Young (Dave); and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Rose was preceded in death by her husband, Phillip Chretien; sons, Hiram Chretien and Harold Chretien; daughters, Amanda Jones (Ronnell) and Alanda Darby (Eric); granddaughter, Mariah Darby; grandson, Malek Ledet; brothers, Kearney Harmon, Warren Harmon, and Morris Harmon, Jr. (Ruth); sister, Angela Harmon Khalid (Jelani); mother and father, Ucille Rice Harmon and Rev. Morris Harmon, Sr.; and stepmother, Ruth Harmon.
