James Hart Obituary

James C. Hart, Jr.

JENNINGS - Funeral services for Mr. James C. Hart, Jr., 82, will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 15, 2012 in the Miguez Funeral Home with Rev. John Clark officiating.

Burial with military gravesite honors will be in the Greenwood Cemetery.

Funeral home visitation will be from 5:00 p.m., until 9:00 p.m., Monday; and 10:00 a.m. Tuesday until time of services.

Mr. Hart died at 8:37 a.m., Thursday, May 10, 2012 in the Heart Hospital of Lafayette.

Mr. Hart was a lifelong resident of Jennings and was a retired electrician in the petrochemical industry. He was a member of the Episcopal Church of Jennings and IBEW. Mr. Hart served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

Survivors include Elizabeth Latour Hart of Lafayette; two daughters, Virginia Miller and husband John G., Jamie Derouen and husband Lynn; one son, Thomas Blount Hart all of Lafayette; three sisters, Johnnye Rae Fontenot and husband Elmer of Jennings, Patricia Granger and husband Jimmy of Jennings; Lorraine McCown and husband Rolland of Welsh; very close friend, Tee (Amelia) Levy of Jennings; five grandchildren, Claire Miller Mok, Lauren Miller McAdams, Nichole Miller Miller, Jacob Hart Derouen, Adam James Derouen and two great-grandchildren, James Michael Miller and John Paul McAdams all of Lafayette.
