CARENCRO - Funeral services will be held Sunday, August 28, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. in Evangeline Memorial Gardens Chapel in Carencro for Jeff Robin, age 65, who passed away Thursday, August 25, 2011 at his residence in Duson.

Interment will be in Evangeline Memorial Gardens in Carencro. Deacon Ken Arnaud will officiate at the services.

Mr. Robin was a native of Lafayette and a resident of Duson for over fifteen years. He was previously employed as a manager at Eckerd Drugs and Drug Emporium and currently was employed with Church Point Wholesale. Mr. Robin was a veteran of the military having served in the U.S. Air force during the Vietnam Era. He was a consistent contributor to charity organizations such as St. Jude's Children's Hospital. An avid gardener, Mr. Robin was a talented musician and singer having played with several local bands.

Survivors include his son, Dr. Craig Robin of Opelousas; one daughter, Trudy Robin of Scott; five grandchildren, Daniel Robin, Taylor Robin, Sara Robin, Brenon Baker and Emma Robin; one brother, Bill Robin and his wife, Glenda, of Baton Rouge; three sisters, Rae Durio and her husband, R.J., of Breaux Bridge, Dean Robin Savoy and her husband, Bubba, of Duson and Patsy Robin Richard and her husband, Kirt, of Carencro.

He was preceded in death by an infant son, Bryan Christopher Robin; a very dear companion, Matsy Lou Murff; his parents, Paul Eddie Robin, Sr. and the former, Beulah Hayes; three brothers, Earl Robin, Nolan Robin and Charles Robin; and one brother-in-law, Clarence Meche.

A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. Saturday and will continue from 8:00 a.m. until service time on Sunday.
