Jeri Backeberg Obituary
RAYNE - Mrs. Jeri Grace Backeberg passed away on the morning of Friday, November 27, 2015 at University Hospital and Clinics in Lafayette, LA with her loving family by her side. During this season of thanksgiving we are truly thankful for having her as a wife, mother, sister and friend.
Jeri was born in Lafayette, LA in September of 1958. She was the loving wife and companion to Tim Backeberg and mother of Angela. Jeri loved the serenity of nature and enjoyed driving the country roads. She treasured the scenery of the Louisiana bayous. She enjoyed cooking for her family and collecting recipe books. Good Cajun music was always near and dear to her heart.
Jeri Backenberg is survived by her husband Tim Backeberg of Rayne LA; daughter Angela (Tim) Owen of Commerce City, CO; mother Theresa Blake of Lafayette, LA; siblings Shirley Ulbrich of California, Eva Eckersley of Utah, and Leroy Hebert Jr.; and four grandchildren Kaila Owen, Logan Owen, Nathaniel Owen and Garrett Owen all of Commerce City, CO.
Mrs. Backeberg was preceded in death by her father LeeRoy Hebert Sr. and Brother Michael Blake.
