Larry Joseph Robin

LAFAYETTE - A Mass of Christian Burial was held Wednesday, October 24, 2012 at 1:00 pm at Fountain Memorial Funeral Home in Lafayette for Larry Joseph Robin, 70, who died Monday, October 22, 2012 at his residence in Lafayette.

Larry was born Monday, November 24, 1941 in Lafayette and was a lifetime resident of Acadiana. A proud veteran, Larry served as an E-3 in the Navy during the Vietnam War. He worked as a Painter for many years and was an avid bass fisherman.

Mr. Robin is survived by his only daughter, Tammy Robin of Carencro; a sister, Cleda Thibodeaux and her husband, Sherman of Youngsville; a brother, Merlin Robin and his wife, Pauline of Lafayette and three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John Chester Robin and Cleda Bernard Robin.

The family wished to express their gratitude to Dr. Kenneth Spiller, the staff of St. Joseph Hospice, the staff of Lafayette General Medical Center, Dr. Nick Cavros and associates for their exceptional care and compassion.
