Lula Guidry Obituary
LAFAYETTE - Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 24, 2014, at a 2:00 PM Service in La Chapelle de Martin & Castille for Lula Himel Guidry, 79, who died on Monday, October 20, 2014 at her residence in Lafayette surrounded by her family.
Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
Pastor Marshall Clotiaux, of Living Faith Fellowship, will conduct the funeral service.
She leaves to cherish her memory, two daughters, Darlene Himel and Barbara Autin and her husband, David; two sons, Steve Himel and his wife, Felicia and Russell Himel; two step-daughters, Susan McLemore and her husband, James and Connie Minnix and her husband, Mike; eighteen grandchildren and twenty one great grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters, Anna Richard and Bernice Cabrol; and three brothers, Gaston Racca, Alec Racca and Dallas Racca.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Joseph Himel; her second husband, Lee Joseph Guidry; her son, Melvin Himel; her parents, Hypolite Racca and Umea Bourque Racca; and four siblings.
Pallbearers will be Joshua Himel, Mike Himel, Jeremy Himel, Brent Autin, Garrett Canino and Kyle Spears.
The family requests that visitation be observed on Thursday from 10:30 AM to 9:00 PM and will continue on Friday from 10:00 AM until time of services.
A heartfelt appreciation is extended by Mrs. Guidry's family to Hospice of Acadiana for their kind and compassionate care given to our mother during her time of need.
