Marks P. Babineaux

CARENCRO - Funeral services will be held Friday, June 5, 2015 at a 1:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial in Evangeline Memorial Gardens Chapel in Carencro. Marks "P." Babineaux, age 57, expired Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at his residence. P. was born in Lafayette on October 26, 1957 and reared in Carencro to the union of Antoine Babineaux, Sr. and the former Mary Brown.

Interment will be in Evangeline Memorial Gardens in Carencro. Rev. Peter Emusa, pastor of Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church, will officiate at the services.

Marks was employed until his death by Cecil Perry Construction. He was a very hard worker, a dedicated family man, an avid sports fan - the New England Patriots specifically and he loved to garden.

P. leaves to cherish his memories, his wife of twenty five years, Paula Breaux Babineaux; one stepson, Michael Breaux both of Lafayette; four sisters, Madeline Carter and her husband, Junius, of Lake Charles, Deanna Babineaux, Drucella Babineaux and Denise Babineaux all of Carencro; six brothers, Antoine Babineaux, Jr., Samuel Babineaux, Simon Babineaux and his wife, Keisha, Dudley Babineaux and his wife, Melissa, and Ronald Marks all of Carencro and Michael Babineaux and his wife, Carolyn, of Lafayette; a host of aunts, nieces, nephews, in-laws, other relatives and friends.

Marks was preceded in death by his parents, Antoine "Slim" Babineaux, Sr. and the former Mary "Sis" Brown; one sister, Dolores Babineaux; and one sister-in-law, Willie Dean "Deannie" Babineaux.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 7:00 a.m. Friday until service time on Friday.

Pallbearers will be Leo Breaux, Edward Breaux, Timothy Lawrence, Allen Breaux, Jr., Kim Sampy, George Carmouche, Michael Johnson and Deril Boatner.
