Pamela Copeland

CARENCRO - Funeral services will be held Friday, March 25, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in Melancon Funeral Home, Evangeline Memorial Gardens Chapel in Carencro for Pamela Copeland, age 54, the former Pamela Scott, who passed away Thursday, March 24, 2011 at 12:10 a.m. at her residence in Carencro.

Interment will be in Evangeline Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Carencro. Pastor Carl Benton, of Living Glory Church in Lafayette, will officiate at the services.

Mrs. Copeland was a native of Chauvin and a resident of Carencro. She was employed with the Lafayette Parish School Board. Pamela worked as a teacher's aid at Carencro Middle School. She was a veteran of the military, having served in the U.S. Army.

Survivors include her husband of 23 years, John Copeland of Carencro; two sons, William Irvin and Michael Irvin both of Mississippi; two daughters, Jessica Quiroz and her husband, Thomas, of Lockport, and Sherry Jewett and her husband, Luke, of Carencro; five grandchildren, Sierra Quiroz, Kelsey Brown, Jacob Brown, Richard Steele, and Sarah Steele; one great, great grandchildren, Victoria Nation; three brothers, Anthony Fondaw and his wife, Josephena, of Houma, Gary Clark and his wife, Emma, of Bourg, and Bryan Clark and his wife, Heather, of Carencro; two sisters, Patricia Roane and her husband, Larry, of North Carolina and Paula Dupre and her husband, Mickey, of Chauvin; and her father in law, Mr. Sammy Jack Copeland.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bobby Joe Scott and the former Gale Sue Evitts; her step father, Harry Clark; her mother in law, Joleene Free.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed Friday from 8:00 a.m. until service time on Friday.
