Perry Babineaux

CARENCRO - Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 22, 2012 at 11:00 in Evangeline Memorial Gardens Chapel in Carencro for Jude Perry Babineaux, age 67, who passed away Wednesday, September 19, 2012 at Alexandria VA Healthcare System-Extended Care in Alexandria.

Interment will be in Evangeline Memorial Gardens in Carencro. The Rev. Msgr. Russell Harrington, pastor of St. John Berchmans Catholic Church, will officiate at the services.

Mr. Babineaux was native and lifelong resident of Carencro having resided at the VA Medical Center Health Care System in Alexandria for the past four years. He was a veteran of the military having served in the U.S. Marines during the Vietnam War. He was a sheriff's deputy for Lafayette Parish Sheriff's office under Sheriff Carlo Listi and Sheriff Don Breaux. He retired from Melancon Funeral Home in Carencro with over ten years of service.

Survivors include one son, Dexter Babineaux and his wife, Nikole, of Carencro; one grandchild, Brynn Babineaux; three brothers, Lynnwood Babineaux and his wife, Jeannie, of Livingston, Texas, Tony Babineaux of Carencro and Conrad Babineaux and his wife, Maxine, of Indian Creek; one sister, Gaynal Alleman and her husband, Byron, of Scott and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Mr. Chester Babineaux, and his mother, the former Regina Hernandez and two brothers, Rayford and Staffred Babineaux.

A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Friday and will continue from 8:00 a.m. until service time on Saturday.

Pallbearers will be Spencer Babineaux, Kevin Babineaux, Kirk Babineaux, Tyler Babineaux, Brandon Alleman and Conrad Babineaux. Honorary pallbearers will be Lynnwood, Tony Babineaux and Gaynal Alleman.
