Walter Chevalier Obituary
Lafayette - Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 5, 2011, 11:00 AM, at St. Anthony Catholic Church, for Walter Chevalier, Sr., 80, who passed away October 31, 2011 at Meadow Brook Specialty Hospital . He will be buried in Gethsemane Gardens.
Left to cherish his memories are his sons Floyd (Rose) Chevalier, Fred (Mona) Chevalier, Patrick (Amy) Chevalier, Christopher (Louise) Chevalier all of Lafayette; daughters Oradella (Harvey) Ford, Jackie (Carl) Nelson, Jennifer (Donald) Clay and Vanessa (Gerald) Chevalier all of Lafayette ; brothers Joseph Irvin (Rose) Chevalier of Houston, TX, Paul Alfred, Sr., 36 grandchildren, 51 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife Wilma Chevalier, son Walter Chevalier, Jr. daughter Gwendolyn Chevalier, parents Paul and Ophelia Alfred Chevalier, Sr., great-grandson Joseph Nelson, sisters Virginia Babineaux, Nelda Charles, and Shirley Senegal; brothers, Joseph Chevalier, Paul Chevalier, Jr., and Raymond Chevalier.
The family has requested that viewing be Friday, November 4, 2011 from 5-9 PM and resume Saturday, November 5, 2011 from 7-10:30 AM at Kinchen Funeral Home.
