Our beloved husband and father passed away on Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at the age of 54. He was born on September 10, 1963 in Texas City, Texas and was a resident of Baton Rouge. Alex was an avid LSU Tigers fan. He was a proud member of Most Blessed Sacrament Parish and served his Church Community as an usher, member of the Men's Club, and Eucharistic Minister to the sick. Alex is survived by his wife of 31 years, Lauren Perilloux Sulik; children, Kristina and Kelsey Sulik; mother, Kay Peterson Sulik; brothers and sisters, Cinde Sulik Broussard, Scott Sulik, Sr., Andy Sulik, Dayna Sulik Luke, Joseph Sulik, and David Sulik; along with 20 nieces and nephews, and 6 great-nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, Alex ""Ace"" G. Sulik. Visitation will be held at Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 15615 Jefferson Highway, on Monday, October 30, 2017 from 9:30 am until 11:30 am and will close with a Mass of Christian Burial. A procession to Resthaven Gardens of Memory, 11817 Jefferson Highway, will immediately follow. I met Chip and Lauren some 30 years ago. Chip was, as others have pointed out, a genuine, warm, and sincere person. He was truly one of the "good guys" and the world has suffered a loss for his passing. Christina and Kelsey can be very proud of their father and know that many people, some of whom they have never met, knew him to be an exceptional person. My an Maria's prayers are with you all.

To Scott and the entire Sulik family:

Susan and I extend our deepest sympathy on the sudden passing of Chip. What a great guy. Always smiling and laughing. A loyal MBS man. I will miss talking with him on Sunday mornings. He is in our hearts and prayers.
