Alice Markay Henley Denham

Alice Markay Henley Denham was born on May 3, 1960. She passed away at her home in Gonzales on March 14, 2024, at the age of 63. She was a devoted preschool teacher at the Golden Rule Daycare for 22 years, where she valued each of her students as one of her own. Markay enjoyed "the retired life", going camping with her husband, lounging in her pool, and sipping a Hurricane at Mike Anderson's. She was an equestrian lover, both Arabian and mini. She was a committed and involved mother and a supporter of the arts. She is survived by her loving husband, Thad Denham; Children, Zac Denham (Clark Gale) and Camryn Denham-Fairley (Daniel Fairley); parents, Ann and Homero Borrero; siblings, Beverly Frederic (Doc), Rick Henley (Lisa), John Borrero (Carrie); grandchild, Eden Fairley; beloved canine companions, Annie, and Noelle; other family members, Nicholas and Amanda Frederic, Russ Henley, Erica Kennett, Isabella Borrero. She is preceded in death by her father and stepmother, Dick Henley and Dennie Henley.
