Alice Grover Obituary

Alice Faye Grover a long time resident of Gonzales, LA passed away peacefully at The Butterfly Wing of The Hospice of Baton Rouge with family at her bedside April 21, 2015. She was 73 years old. She was native to Biloxi, MS and grew up in Dallas, TX where she met and married Vern Leo Grover on April 11, 1964. They celebrated 37 years of marriage together. She graduated from North Dallas High School and later received a degree in nursing from the University of The State of New York Regents College. She enjoyed her loving pets Kipper and Snowball, going to lunch with her children and grandchildren, helping her daughter with her pet grooming business and watching her fruit trees produce bountiful fruit to share with family. Private family services will be held at a later time. She is survived by son, Kirk Anthony Grover, son, Christopher Leo Grover, daughter in law, Candace Grover of Houston, TX, daughter, Karen Louise Brown, son in law Craig Brown, three grandchildren Amber Arnold, Jarett Arnold and Kailey Brown, sisters, Anita Hebert Taylor, Amy Hebert. She was preceded in death by her parents Raphael and Margaret Hebert and her loving husband Vern Leo Grover. Special thanks to the staff at The Butterfly Wing with The Hospice of Baton Rouge. They helped provide peace and comfort to her and her family during this time of convalescence. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her honor to The Butterfly Wing inpatient unit of The Hospice of Baton Rouge 9063 Siegen Lane, Suite A, Baton Rouge, LA 70810.
