Amos Gibson Obituary

A retired truck driver and resident of Baton Rouge, he died at 9 p.m. Tuesday, July 27, 2010, at Baton Rouge General Medical Center-Bluebonnet. He was 63, a native of Arbroth and an Army veteran. Visiting at Star Hill Baptist Church on Saturday, July 31, from 8 a.m. until religious service at 11 a.m., conducted by Raymond A. Jetson, pastor. Interment in Roselawn Memorial Park. Survived by his wife, Priscilla Gibson; father, Amos Gibson Jr.; daughter, Jasmine Gibson; sons, Cedric Gibson, Patrick Gibson, Keldric Gibson, Amos Gibson IV and Alonzo Gibson; sisters, Adrianne Gibson Veal and Joyce Hunt; brothers, Martin Gibson, Reginald Johnson, Glenn Dale Wright, Harold Williams, Darryl Williams, Damon Gibson, Reginald Gibson, Michael Gibson and Quinton Gibson; and 11 grandchildren. Preceded in death by his mother, Maple Mae Hunt; brother, Albert Jean Stewart; and niece, Shannon Renae Veal. He enjoyed fishing and cooking.
