Anthony Vincent "A.V." Noto

It is with very sad hearts that Marie, Michael & Susan Andermann Noto announce the death of their beloved Anthony Vincent (A.V.) Noto. Anthony was born on March 18th, 1930 and passed away peacefully at his home on June 30th 2015 at 8:15 P.M. after a lengthy illness with his beloved wife, Marie at his side and his pride and joy, their only child, Michael W Noto, and wife Susan holding his hand. He was also surrounded by family and friends who all loved him as much as he loved them. He was 85 and a native of Baton Rouge. Visitation at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd. on Monday, July 6, 2015, at 1:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. with a prayer service at 7 P.M. Visitation at the funeral home Tuesday, July 7, 2015, 9:30 A.M. to 12:30 P.M. Religious service at St. Thomas More Catholic Church at 1:00 P.M. conducted by the Rev. Matthew McCaughey and Deacon Joe Scimeca. His sister-in-law, Eddie P Dimaio will give the eulogy. Internment in Green Oaks Memorial Park with military honors. Anthony is survived by the one and only love of his life, Marie T Dimaio. On April 19th, 2015, they were married 66 years. Their story is truly one of love. They met when they were 9 years old and from that day forward Anthony told anyone who knew Marie, that he was going to marry her and when he was 19 and she was 18 they were married. They were blessed with a wonderful marriage. He is also survived by a son Michael W. Noto. Other survivors are Michael's wife, Susan Andermann Noto and her two children Kandis & Layne Furrate, his sister Virginia N. Terito, Also, survived by brother-in-law Nickie C Dimaio and wife Eddie & Family, Mr & Mrs Charles J Noto Sr. Preceeded in death by his parents Joe and Artina Marchiafava Noto, brothers Henry Noto, Charles (Chic) Noto; sisters, Tina Messina Feig, Marie N Culmone, and his devoted In-laws, Mary M and Michael D Dimaio who loved him as a son. Anthony was a highly respected banker starting his career with CNB while in high school, then to Capital Bank from 1957 to 1980 and left as Vice President in 1980 to form Metropolitan Bank & Trust as Vice Chairman of the board and Senior Executive Vice President. Later, as President and C.E.O. of Metropolitan Financial Corp. Awards: Cavaliere award in 1975 from Italian government (1st person in BR to receive this award). His hobbies were golf and fishing. He and Marie loved to dance especially to the music of Stormy the band, where sometimes he would sing a song or two. The family extends their extra-special thanks to all family members and friends, too many to list, who have supported us during these extremely difficult past few years.
