Bennett Musco Obituary

MUSCO, BENNETT SEBASTIAN Bennett Sebastian Musco, our beloved husband, dad and Pa Pa, died on Friday, Sept. 3, 2004, at his home in Pride after bravely fighting a lengthy illness. He was 55 and a native of Long Branch, N.J. He was the son of the late Sebastian "Bennie" and Lucy Musco. He graduated from Long Branch High School in 1966 and then served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. He was an HVAC specialist and worked in that field until a liver transplant seven years ago. In 1999, he received an associate's degree in telecommunications from DeVry Institute of Technology and was employed by WorldCom in New York City. Before his illness progressed, he served as a deacon, small group leader and softball player at First Baptist Church of Red Bank, N.J. Ben enjoyed sports, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren. Ben is survived by his wife, Jacqueline Joette Brown Musco; children, Stacia and husband Andy Jacob of Jackson, N.J., Kelly Rosado of Zachary, Shelly and husband Brad Wintz of Pride, David and wife Stacey Musco of Winston-Salem, N.C., Thomas Musco of Niceville, Fla., and Crystal Croft of Zachary; and two brothers, Salvatore and Alfred Musco. Ben is also survived by eight grandchildren, Desi Rosado, Devin Croft, Tyler Rosado, Dylan Reynolds, Madison Musco, Bela Musco, Breanna Wintz and Emma Jacob. Visitation on Tuesday, Sept. 7, at Sandy Creek Baptist Church in Pride from 9 a.m. to 11 am. Funeral service will follow immediately. Above all else, Ben would want everyone to know the life-changing importance of a relationship with Jesus Christ. "But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you." Matthew 6:33. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to the Sandy Creek Baptist Church Benevolence Fund.
