Bernard Jefferson Obituary

God has called home a good and faithful servant, Bernard Anthony Jefferson Sr. boldly and proudly wearing the armor of God, he has fought the good fight and his victory is found in Jesus Christ. Although we will miss him, all of Heaven is rejoicing. Bernard passed away at the age of 71 on April 11, 2023. He entered this world on July 23, 1951, born to Evelyn Jefferson and Alex Watt. His loving memories will be cherished by his sister, Jessie Mae Thomas; two sons, Bernard Jefferson Jr. And Bernard D. Jefferson; two daughters, Shaleka Jefferson McClain and Selisha Jefferson. Ten grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and extended family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Evelyn Jefferson and Alex Watt; Sister Gloria Watt; Brother, Willie Lindsay; Daughter, Zakiya Jefferson; Nephew, Dante Jefferson; and Grandson, Bernard Jefferson III. Religious service will be at Bible World Christian Center, 1771 N. Lobdell Avenue, Baton Rouge, LA, Friday April 21, 2023. Viewing 9:00 AM until the funeral service at 10:00 AM, officiated by Pastor David Griffin.
