Mrs. Bertha Houston closed her eyes in her last sleep on March 9, 2023 at 11:30 pm at her residence in New Roads. Visitation services, Friday, March 17, 2023 at A.W. Faith Center, 152 Hwy 3050, Morganza, La from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Religious services, Saturday, March 18, 2023 at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church, 14905 La 417, Batchelor, La at 12 pm. Conducted by Pastor Kevin Morris. Interment - St. Francis Catholic Cemetery. She leaves to cherish her memories, three daughters and five sons. Don (Sharon) Houston of New Orleans, LA; Diane Houston Hutchison of New Roads, LA; Gill J. Houston of Baton Rouge, LA; Sterling (Brenda) Houston of Morganza, LA; Sandra (Robert) Taylor of Baker, LA; Jennifer (Donald) Robinson of Batchelor, LA; Leonard (Angela) Houston of Maringouin, LA; and Anthony (Terry) Houston of Morganza, LA. One sister, Muriel Derozan; one brother, Charlie Harris, Jr.; thirty-five grandchildren; twenty-eight great-grandchildren; four great great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
