Billy K. Nettles

Billy K. Nettles went to heaven on September 18, 2024. He was a beloved resident of Central for 37 years and had a successful career as a cabinet builder for over 40 years. He was a loving and supportive father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. Billy is survived by his two daughters, Denise Major (Todd), and Kimberly Abshire (Darlene); four grandchildren, Hayden Major, Taylor Owens, Raygan Owens, and Sarah Scott; four great-grandchildren, Milo Scott, Pippa Scott, Maevis Major and Maks Major; sisters, Dorothy Vicknair and Jamie Landry; and numerous family and friends. Billy was preceded in death by his wife, Betty K. Nettles; parents, Lloyd L. Nettles and Syble F. Esnault; and sister, Pat Turner. Pallbearers will be Hayden Major, Taylor Owens, Todd Major, Jason Scott, Donald Biggs and Scottie Lyons. Honorary pallbearers Maevis Major and Maks Major. Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for the visitation at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, Baker, LA, on Friday, September 27, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. until religious services in the chapel at 11:00 a.m. The graveside burial will immediately follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Baker, LA.
