Carl Johnson Jr. Obituary

Carl Joseph Johnson, Jr. was born January 28, 1978 to Carl and Gail Bridgewater Johnson in Lansing, Michigan. He graduated from Central High School in New Roads, LA, and attended Southern University. Carl later joined the United States Army. Following his honorable discharge Carl moved to Dallas, TX, for a short period and later settled in Lansing, MI. There he worked and started a life with Emily Berry. The two of them brought to the world one son Trent D. Johnson. He is survived and cherished by a loving family: a son, Trent Johnson (Emily Berry), of Lansing, MI; his mother Gail Johnson of New Roads, LA; a sister, Nicole Johnson of Dallas, TX; maternal grandmother Bessie Bridgewater of New Roads, LA; four aunts; five uncles; and a host of cousins and friends. Preceded in death by his father, Carl Joseph Johnson, Sr., paternal grandparents, Joseph and Emma Johnson, maternal grandfather, Clarence Bridgewater, Sr. Viewing will be held at St. Augustine Catholic Church in New Roads, LA, on Tuesday, June 2, 2015, from 8:30 until Mass at 10:00 AM.
