Charles Hamilton Obituary

Charles Hamilton, loving and protective husband, father, and grandfather passed away peacefully on January 10, 2018, surrounded by loved ones. Born and Raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Charles graduated from Capital High School in 1957. Charles worked for Baton Rouge General in his early adulthood and Turner Industries for over 25 years upon retiring. Charles enjoyed football, good food and laughter with family. He is survived by his devoted wife Janice Hamilton of thirty-nine years. Daughters Kimberly, Shauna, Charlene and Carla. Sons Charles Jr., Jason and Derrick. Many grandchildren including Jolaceyah, Charlette, Quincy, Eric, and Sanaa. Sisters Flora Mae Adams and Myrtle Franklin. Brothers Joseph Hamilton, Ted Spears and Willie Spears. Special thank you to Joanna and Emmanuel at Pinnacle Home Health. Charles is preceded in death by mother Myrtle Hamilton, father Sye Spears and brother Alfred Drake Hamilton. Visitation will be held at Rhodes Funeral Home located at 2929 Scenic Hwy, Baton Rouge, La., on Saturday, January 20, 2018, from 9:00AM until Celebration of Life at 11AM conducted by Rev. Floyd Matthews. Burial will follow at Roselawn Cemetery. Please visit www.rhodesfuneral.com to sign guest book.
