Charles Albert Tassin Sr.

Charles Albert Tassin Sr., a native of Ferriday, LA, and resident of Prairieville, LA, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 13, 2018, at the age of 88. He was a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, who enjoyed spending time and making memories with his family and friends. Charles proudly served in the US Navy. He was a retired educator and director of Ascension Vo-Tech School in Sorrento. He is survived by his daughter, Phyllis Tassin-Rogers; sons, Charles Albert Tassin Jr. and Stephen Wayne Tassin; grandchildren, Chad Tassin, Lauren Tassin Green, and Ashley Tassin; great-grandchildren, Henry West Tassin, Elijah Green, and Jonah Green. Charles is preceded in death by his parents, Cora Evelyn Wiley and William Albert Tassin, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Visitation will be held on Monday, September 17, 2018, at Ourso Funeral Home of Gonzales from 9:00 am until funeral service at 11:00 am officiated by Rev. Merlin Liverman.
