Chevy King Obituary

Chevy Layne King, our precious baby boy, went to be with Our Lord on Monday, August 27th, 2018. Chevy was special in so many ways. He was the happiest three-year-old you would ever meet. He loved playing with his older brother, Peanut, and helping his Mom and Dad take care of his baby sister, Nova. Chevy loved his dinosaurs and could give you the name of each one. His favorite was his ""Broccoli"" sauras. His imagination was endless, and he could be found playing with hot wheels for hours on end. At only three years old Chevy had developed an amazing sense of humor. He was quite the jokester. There was never a dull moment when he was near. He adored riding 4 wheelers and fishing with his family. He was the most amazing frog chasing, wheelie popping, car racing, joke telling, dinosaur loving, fish catching little man in the world. His place in our lives can never be filled. Chevy is survived by his parents, Harley and Sarah Staid King, big brother, Harley King Jr.(Peanut), baby sister, Nova King, his paternal grandparents, Gina and Donald Gaspard and Marty King, his maternal grandmother DeEtte Staid (Billy Franklin), his maternal grandfather Mark Staid, his paternal great grandmother Racheal Rogillio, his loving aunt and uncle, Mark and Chelsie King, aunts, Melissa King and Jenny Kurn, uncles, Allen Franklin and Holden Franklin, cousins Kadon, Madison, Presley and Maddox (his best buddy), and numerous other extended family members and loved ones. Visitation will be held at Life Tabernacle Church, 9323 Hooper Rd., Central, LA on Friday, August 31st at 9am with services following at 12pm. Procession immediately after services to Green Oaks Memorial Park, 9595 Florida Blvd, Baton Rouge, LA, for graveside services. Special thanks to Reverend Spell and the staff at Life Tabernacle Day Care, especially Ms. Loretta and Ms. Geraldine who love our Chevy. We would also like to thank everyone for their continued prayers.
