Taylor; sons, Marc Taylor, Baton Rouge, and Jeffrey M. Reilly, New Mexico; daughters, Lauren Taylor Bednarz, Dallas, and Susan Taylor McDaniel, Houston; brothers, J. Webb Taylor and Jim Taylor, Baton Rouge; and grandchildren, Catherine, Marc, Audrey, Sterling and Marshall. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clark William Taylor and Alice Brown Taylor. He will be sincerely missed by family and friends, especially devoted friends, Debbie and James DeJean, and Julius Furr. Clark was a proud graduate of Baton Rouge High School and LSU Paul M. Hebert School of Law. He was the owner of CWT Management involved in real estate development and investments. Clark was a pioneer in the development of Village Woods Retirement Community, Summa Court and Bluebonnet Highlands Subdivision. Clark was a member of SCORE Baton Rouge, a nonprofit association providing business counseling to small businesses as well as a volunteer for the Baton Rouge Literacy Association. Clark was an avid fisherman and hunter. He traveled throughout the U.S., including Alaska, and Mexico, to fish and hunt. He especially enjoyed his time at his lake house with close friends playing cards, eating and fishing. Clark lived life to the fullest. Fishing was one of the greatest joys of his life. The family would like to thank all of the rescue crews for their quick response and thoughtfulness. Visitation at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Tuesday, Feb. 22, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visitation resumes at the funeral home on Wednesday, Feb. 23, from 10 a.m. until funeral service at noon. My heartfelt sympathy goes out to the C.W. Taylor family. Although I have not seen C.W.for about 50 years. I grew up as a neighbor with the Taylor family as a neighbor from age 4 to grauation from Baton Rouge High School in 1955. We took different journeys. His mother, Alice, C.W., & brothers Jim & Webb Taylor has been a role model for me as I grew up and I have so many fond memories of my youth knowing the Taylor Family. My prayers are with the Family who I have never forgot.

There are so many thoughts that come to mind from the early 50s ... from our first partner in business, the fishing camp we owned together on False River... through it all, C.W. was always a pleasure to be around, respectful, kind and thoughtful.

To all his family, in his passing, I wish you peace and fond memories.

While I briefly knew Mr. Clark, I found him to be an engaging man and one who would take time to speak to a virtual stranger. He also came across as one who didn't suffer fools gladly.

Despite his age, his eyes were bright and his mind sharp. I wish I had known him much longer and had the ability to glean from his life those things that make life what it is meant to be...enjoyed and appreciated.

My prayer is for Shirley, his children and their families that God's richest grace fill the void that has been left by Mr. Clark's passing.
