Colleen Fatherree Obituary

Colleen Anne (O'Malley) Fatherree passed away on Thursday, March 3, 2022 at the age of 89. She was born on February 23, 1933 in Benson, Minnesota and was one of eight children born to Joseph and Delvina O'Malley. Colleen was preceded in death by her husband, Claude "Bo" Fatherree and son, Robert "Bob" Fatherree. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and is survived by her daughter, Shannon Forte and son, Tim Fatherree (Darlene). Besides her children, she is survived by seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Colleen dedicated her life to raising and supporting her family. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, and writing poetry. She was a homemaker extraordinaire and was always there for anyone who needed a positive view on any topic. Our family would like to express our utmost appreciation to the entire staff of Old Jefferson Community Care and Clarity Hospice. You all ensured that she was comfortable and happy during her final years and we will never be able to thank you enough. In lieu of flowers, Colleen requested that donations may be made to Catholic Relief Services, P.O. Box 17090, Baltimore, MD 21297-0303, (877) 435-7277.
