Cullen Tolar Wilson

A native of Gillsburg, Miss., and a resident of Central, he passed away at 9:50 a.m. Sunday, May 24, 2009, at his home at age 71. He was a member of Riverside Baptist Church, a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and retired from the U.S. Postal Service. Visitation at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs, on Monday, May 25, was from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visitation resumes on Tuesday, May 26, from 9 a.m. until funeral services in the funeral home chapel at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Tom Adams and the Rev. Gerald Martin. Burial in Vickers Cemetery, Walker. Survived by his wife, Estella Wilson; daughters and sons-in-law, Babs and David Myers, of Central, and Sheila and Jack Varnado, of Slidell; sons and daughters-in-law, Thomas and Kathy Long, of Slidell, and Steve and Kathy Long, of Denham Springs; a sister, Pauline Brown, of Dacula, Ga.; a brother and sister-in-law, Jesse and Beth Wilson, of Irving, Texas; 14 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his first wife, Bessie Mae Davis Wilson; parents, Thomas and Irene Wilson; and a brother, Bobby Wilson. Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Matt Myers, Ryan Myers, Trey Varnado, Kevin Long, Carey Long and Byron Long. Honorary pallbearers are Bud Loper and Pete Galliano. Memorial donations may be made to St. Joseph's Hospice.
