Danny Lee Blevins

Danny Lee Blevins, beloved husband, father and grandfather, died on Friday, Nov. 3, 2023 at his home in Jackson. He was 75 years old and retired from LSU as a FETI Instructor. He was also a U.S. Army veteran. Visitation will be at Charlet Funeral Home, Inc. in Zachary on Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2023 from 9 am until service at 11 am conducted by Willis Easley. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Baker. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Donna Broussard Blevins. A daughter and son-in-law, Denise and Robert Havard and a son and daughter-in-law, Darren and Sharon Blevins and brother, Roger Blevins. 11 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and one on the way. He is preceded in death by a grandson, Ryan Whittington, parents, Evelyn and Leo Blevins, 2 sisters, Leona and Patsy and brother, Larry. Pallbearers will be Jorge Rice, Charles Dousay, Joey Hernandez, Aaron Blevins, Seth Blevins, Dawson Havard, Chris Brocato and Joey Gregorie. Honorary pallbearers will be Jon Gentry, Clyde Batts and Pecan Grove Volunteer Fire Department. Danny was a retired Fire Chief from Pecan Grove Volunteer Fire Department who loved telling jokes, fishing and hunting but mostly spending time with family.
