I enjoyed getting to know Darrell at our annual Dominican Laity retreats in Rosaryville, especially our discussions and lively debates. I will remember him fondly and will offer my prayer for him and for the consolation of his family, whom he loved so much. Eternal rest grant to him, O Lord, and let your perpetual light shine upon him. Amen.

I was so sorry to hear of the passing of my good friend Darrell. He was a wonderful man and he was a great friend as well.
I will never forget all that he did for me when I worked for him at AT&T. He was always kind, compassionate, and a true gentleman.
Please extend my sympathy to your entire family and let them know how much I share their sadness at this time.

Darrell always filled the room with a giant smile even after his long trip from Baton Rouge to New Orleans to attend our Veritas Dominican Laity meetings each month. Darrell was so proud when he made his commitment to join the Dominican Laity that he brought his family with him from Baton Rouge for the ceremony. He had wonderful knowledge of his Catholic faith which he shared with us. We will miss his love and big heart and look forward to seeing him one day in heaven.
