Deborah Orr "Debi" Dake

Deborah Orr "Debi" Dake passed away at the age of 70 at her home surrounded by her family on Tuesday, December 26, 2023. She was a resident of Bayou Sorrel and a native of Oak Grove, LA. Debi was a tough flip flop throwing red head who didn't bite her tongue. She is survived by her husband since birth, Earl Dake of 45 years; sons, Josh Dake and fiancé Victoria, and Jeremy Dake; grandchildren, Konnor Smith and fiancé Joanna, Waylon Dake, and Magnolia Dake; bonus grandchildren, Madelyn Tucker and Lillian Tucker; great-grandchild, baby Smith due July 2024; sister, Cletha May; brother, Jerry Orr; numerous nieces, nephews, and brothers and sisters from another mother in Illinois. Preceded in death by her father, Tullie Berry Orr; mother, Faye Keneath Moore Orr; brothers, James Roy, Edward Ray, Zander Glenn, and Lloyd Gilbert; sisters, Alice Maxine, Gloria Jean, and Anna Faye; father-in-law, Claude Earl Dake, Sr.; and mother-in-law, Gertie McClure Dake. Debi was the first female operator at Copolymer in Addis, where she met the red head to match her wit and soul. She enjoyed going to the camp, sitting by a fire listing to Earl play music, riding motorcycles and playing with her grandchildren and grand dog. A memorial service will be held at Wilbert Funeral Home, Plaquemine, on Saturday, January 6, 2024, from 12 pm until services at 4 pm, conducted by D.J. Wunstell.
