Dear Toups family,
Over a span of 30 years as a customer of S.F. agent Donald, I chose to stay with him over often less expensive offers because I recognized Donald's high standard of integrity. I always trusted his advice. You should really be proud of his life's work and know that he'll sorely be missed by many. God bless you through these times.

Sally, Tanyau, Chris and Mike:
I for one really respected Coach Toups. Rachel and I really enjoyed the times at the camp and really was glad to be able to spend a few minutes with Coach. He really taught me a lot about respect and hard work. As a person who didn't coach for a living, but did it on a part time basis. I took a lot that he taught me and passed in on to my kids. Rachel and I have all of you'll in our player and really are sad about your lost.

Mrs. Toups and Family,
Representing the "Wildcat Family" here in Abbeville from 1969-1972 and since, we all will miss "Coach". Bobby Russo and Ray Gaspard join with me in reassuring you what a great man, coach, leader, and inspiration he was to us. He taught us well the words respect, commitment, and tenacity...all of which he modeled for us. We are all much better off because of his example of life to us. May God bless your family at this time of sorrow and know you are in our prayers. Coach will always be in our thoughts and words as we gather to remember him.
Respectfully,
Sammy Theriot, AHS 1971-72 Wildcat Captain

I was a deffensive and offensive lineman for the Abbeville Wildcats, we one our district championship in 1972 thanks to Coach Toups. He was tough, but he was fair and really knew how to handle his end of scrimmage line. Travel well Coach, you were one of the greats.

Mrs. Sally, Mike and the Toups Family,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May your memories bring you comfort.
We enjoyed talking to Don at the baseball games and especially at the baseball camp at Mississippi State a couple of years ago. He was a really nice guy. We talked about Abbeville whenever we talked because I lived there as a kid and we are both the same age.
Again, our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Mrs. Sally, Mike, Marla and the entire Toups Family:
We are so sorry for your loss. Hopefully each day will get alittle better for all of you. We have all only known Mr. Don for a short time but do have some great memories with him at the ballpark. He will be missed dearly. I only wished I had visted one last time before heading back to Alaska. Your family is very strong and with the help of each other and your friends you will get through this difficult time. Our prayers are with all of you.

Ms. Sally, Tanyau, Chris, and Michael,
It saddens me to hear of Mr. Don's passing. Please accept my deepest condolences during your time of sorrow.
When I first moved to Baton Rouge, your family was the first for me to meet. Mr. Don always made me feel welcome when I came over to hang out with Chris and Michael. I will cherish all the good memories I have of Mr. Don (especially when I am out at the ballpark). He was always at the ballpark with us as we were growing up and playing ball.
He was a great family man, husband and father that will be sorely missed. I will keep you all in my prayers at this time and in the days ahead.
