Dustin Hebert Obituary

HEBERT, DUSTIN MICHAEL "Jesus said, 'Let the children come to me, and do not prevent them; for the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to such as these.'" Matthew 19:14. A loving son, brother and grandson, he was born July 26, 1984, and died Friday, Jan. 28, 2005, at age 20. Visitation at Wilbert Funeral Home, Plaquemine, from 10 a.m. until service at noon Wednesday, Feb. 2, conducted by the Rev. Donald Ray. Interment in Grace Memorial Park. He is survived by his father, Donald Glenn "Donny" Hebert Jr. of St. Francisville; mother and stepfather, Sara and Sammy Major of Jarreau; two brothers, Prentice Scott and Briton Jacob Hebert; stepbrother, Christopher Kobleur; grandmothers, Elizabeth Hyde of Pineville and Lou Becicka of Grand Rapids, Minn.; stepgrandmother, Virgie Hebert of Plaquemine; and numerous other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Donald Glenn Hebert Sr. and Frank Hyde; and stepgrandfather, Keith Becicka. Dustin loved the outdoor life, cars, four-wheelers and his three-wheeler. Pallbearers will be Prentice Wray Hebert, Prentice Scott Hebert, Briton Hebert, Cass Thurman, Kyle Alford and Cory Delette. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family to assist with funeral expenses.

I'm so sorry to hear of Dustin's death. I know what ya'll are going through, I lost my younger brother in 2003, he was seven and died of the flu. I just wanted to let ya'll know that my prayers are with ya'll.

I am so very sorry to hear of your loss. I don't think anyone truly understands how devastating it is to lose a child. Time heals all wounds, but this is one that takes a long time. My prayers are with you. (By the way, I am your dad's first cousin.)
