About 5 years ago an awesome man danced his way into my heart and into my life! Ernie was as nice and sweet as he was incredibly handsome. He had a captivating smile and personality. We hit it off instantly,...I guess because of our passion for music and dancing, our similar family values and religious beliefs and our burning love for people. Cousin Leslie and Shirley, and all of your precious family,
Ernie's presence will be missed, but his legacy lives on through his beautiful children and the love he shared with his family and friends. I will always remember the fun times playing cards, running through the sugar cane fields, and riding the horses when we were so much younger. Ernie will always be remembered in our hearts as a fun loving - free spirited cousin.

I went to St. Anthony's with Ernie. I will always remember his dark curly hair and beautiful smile. He was a very creative and fun loving person who loved to draw. He had alot of friends and really knew how to have fun. We shared many memories of nuns and plays and recesses together. We were both from a large family and our parents knew each other. My dad is Ben Crifasi, he owned the One Stop Market on Scenic Hwy. My prayer for you is that God will hold you close to his heart and let you lean on him when the pain get too hard. I'll always remember your Ernie. He was a great guy.

I am Clyde LeBlanc, the second son of Percy J. and Clarisse Richard LeBlanc. My grandfather was Louis LeBlanc, brother of Andre. My father and mother had great respect for you.
I am sorry for the loss of Ernest. There are some moments in life that have no "silver linings."
I spoke with Annette this weekend and have had the occasion of seeing Leslie Matthew on family events where we come to show respect. I am sorry that I was unable to do so in memory of Ernie.

Annette @ Don, it was such a pleasure meeting you both down at LSU. Thank you for introducing Lisa and I to Earnie that night. He was so warm and friendly. I feel like I've known you all forever. Earnie always had a warm smile on his face the whole night, and seemed so happy to be there watching Gabe race. Even Lisa said he was so nice. She's called me to ask about him but I hadn't been able to contact you so I didn't know the sad news. Please Know that you and your family, and especially Earnie Will be in my prayers daily. I am so sorry for the lost of your dad. I know how it feels to loose a dad I just lost mine a year ago it seem like yesterday. Hurt will get easier as time goes by, but just remember he will live through you two guys and every time you think of him he right there in your hearts. Your dad was a great guy always said hello with a big smile, a firm hand shake or would give you a hug. There will be a time when you think of him you will either laugh or cry; that is your way of healing. My thoughts and prayers are with you and the all of LeBlanc family.

Aunt Shirley & Uncle Leslie, and all my cousins... It has been many years since I have seen alot of ya'll but, all the members of my family; extended or otherwise are always in my prayers. Mama *Sue Carbo Hathcox* and I just found out Tuesday evening. We are so sorry for your loss. Our Thoughts and prayers will be for each and everyone of you. My mom wanted me to tell you that she loves you,and is going to have Mass said for Earnie.

We had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Ernie when he would come to lunch at our restaurant with Bill Orazio. He was truly a person that blessed our lives even for the brief moments we got to visit with him. He truly had compassion and wisdom. He completed the work God put him here to do and we know he will be truly missed.

I will miss seeing Ernie's smiling face when we are all together. So many things cross my mind when I think of him and it brings an overwhelming sadness to know that I will not see him again in this life. He taught me how to tie my shoes when I was younger and also how to ride a bike. Payton loved him and cherished the time that he spent with Ernie. His favorite recent memory was sitting in his lap at the Catholic High game watching Jude play football...while Ernie explained, in great detail, every play of the game. Gabe and Jude, you both know without having to say it that we will always be here for you. Thank you for sharing him with all of us. I will miss him every day.

We first met you and your Dad at the BMX track in Baton Rouge. Your Dad made us feel right at home at the Brec track from our first visit till our last. He was such a friendly and kind person. To the LeBlanc family, my thoughts and prayers are with you. I was very saddened when I learned of Ernie's accident. I met Ernie in high school and though I did not know him as well as I knew Muff, he was always a happy, good hearted person. My brother in-law, Brad Smith, had the pleasure of working with Pat and Ernie in Aruba a few years ago and spoke very highly of them. The LeBlanc boys are of the "good guys". Our thoughts and prayers are with the entire LeBlanc Family. Wednesday Heaven received a wonderful new ANGEL. And now Gabe and Jude have a special guardian angel to watch over them today, tomorrow and forever always. Our condolences we send out to the entire LeBlanc Family. I first met "ERNIE" in 1972 at Istrouma High School in Art class. He was on crutches with a broken leg from a motocross accident. I remember his BIG HAIR. I LOVED IT. His smile was beautiful . My deepest sympathies go out to you all for the tragic loss of such a gentleman "Ernie". I had the pleasure of working and laughing with Ernie both at work and out dancing with girlfriend Gail. Ernie was the model of what a nice person is in my opinion, and had a great sense of humor I enjoyed imensely. He passed doing what he loved to do. He will be greatly missed, and another Christian brother, so inocent in many ways is lost from our presense, but will remain with God till the rest of us see him again...what a loss of one of the most pleasant friends I had come to know.

In 9th grade Ernie was the love of my life... he was an awesome person and he touched my heart.

Our deepest sympathies to the entire Leblanc family for their recent loss. During a race weekend in 2008, I had the pleasure of staying with Ernie. It was during this visit I witnessed the kindness of his heart, and his pure wholesomeness. He had a great love of motorcycle competition, but his passion elevated to a higher level when discussing how proud he was of Gabe and Jude.
Our family feels profound pain for your tragic loss. Our support is forever here for his brother Muff, nephew Matt, his children Gabe and Jude, and other LeBlanc family members. I personally will dearly miss Ernie’s sparkling personality and loving character.
To the entire Leblanc and extended families, a light on earth diminished with the passing of Ernie, but a new star in heaven is shinning bright. May God walk beside you, guide you and lead you.

If a beautiful smile and upbeat welcoming personality are traits that get one into Heaven than Ernie has surely made it there. I didn't know him well but anytime I saw him whether it be at work or at some festival listening to music, it was that smile and Louisiana-good-old-boy personality that always had me walking away happy.
