Evelyn Pate Obituary

Pate, Evelyn McBride Wyatt Evelyn McBride Wyatt Pate of Madill, Okla., passed away Monday, Oct. 3, 2005. She was born Sept. 1, 1917, in Havana, Ark., to John M. and Helen Smith McBride. Evelyn married J.L. Wyatt Sr. in 1936 in Dardanelle, Ark. He preceded her in death. She married Herbert J. Pate on Feb. 12, 1975, in Baton Rouge and moved to Madill. He also preceded her in death, in March 1986. She is survived by a son, Jimmy Wyatt; daughter, Manon Wyatt Scott; and sister, Pat Collier. Her son, Danny Wyatt, preceded her in death. She cherished her eight grandchildren, her great-grandchildren and her great-great-grandchildren. Evelyn was a member of First United Methodist Church of Madill, where she enjoyed serving meals and taking care of the flowers. She was also a member of the Rose Garden Club and Madill Art Club and served as chamber ambassador for the Marshall County Chamber. Visitation will be at Watts Funeral Home, Madill, from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 6. Funeral service will be at First United Methodist Church, Madill, at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 7.
