She is a woman veteran
Whose service was true
And she proudly served
The Red, White and Blue
She gave a part of her life
So others could be free
And without any hesitation
She joined unselfishly
She did her job well
With Honor and Pride
And served her great country
With the men alongside
We're proud today to know
That although she is gone
She goes on to glory
After a job "well done!"

To GG, Carol and Pam---In today's Baton Rouge newspaper I was surprised and saddened to see the news of you mother's passing. Please accept my sincere condolences for your loss. Although the three of you were still children at the time, perhaps you remember that we were neighbors many years ago on Roseland Parkway in Harahan. Your mother was a wonderful person to us, and though we lost contact over the years, she and your family remained a happy memory of a special time in our lives.

When someone I have known my whole life passes away, I feel like a part of my past is taken away. This is exactly how I feel today. Mrs. Frances was a special lady to me.
