Gary Hendricks Sr.

Gary Hendricks, Sr. was born on September 26, 1946 to the late Alphonse and Mae Joan Hendricks. While in the comfort of his home on December 1, 2014, he had a talk with his Savior and entered into his eternal home. Gary accepted Christ at an early age as a member of New St. John Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Reverend A. L. Smith. He later became a Deacon under the leadership of Reverend Richard Rayborn, Sr. He continued his faithful service as Head Deacon under the leadership of Pastor Clarence Stephens at New St. John Fellowship. Gary leaves a legacy to be cherished by his faithful and devoted wife of 47 years, Claire Hendricks; (3) loving children Gary Hendricks, Jr. (Patrice), Anthony Hendricks, Sr. (Ronterri), and Latrice Chantel Hendricks all of Gonzales, LA; (1) brother Alphonse Hendricks, Jr. (Doris); (3) sisters Mabel Reed, Etta Jackson (Richard), and Elaine Stevens (Leroy); (2) sisters-in-laws Janice Hendricks and Hestell Hendricks; (2) brothers-in-law Lon V. Bedney, Sr. (Catherine) and Apostle Leroy Thompson (Carolyn); (4) grandsons Christopher Hendricks, Avery Alexander, Jermone Hendricks, and Anthony Hendricks, Jr.; (3) granddaughters Jasmine Sterling, Kija West and Anaya Hendricks; (3) great grandchildren Nevaeh Hendricks, Javarious Gray, and Aaliyah Hendricks; (3) Godchildren Alesha Johnson, Andrielle Fields, and Jaraya Davis; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. Gary is preceded in death by his parents, his father and mother in-law, Lon V. and Dorothy Bedney, Sr., a brother Paul Hendricks, a sister Maggie Stephens and a stepfather Armsy Moses, Sr. There will be a viewing at New St. John Fellowship 1615 N. Tobey Gonzales, LA on Tuesday, December 02, 2014 from 5 pm to 8 pm and another viewing Wednesday, December 03, 2014 from 9am til 11 am service time.
