Henry Watkins Jr.

Henry Watkins, Jr. passed away on August 4, 2024, at his residence in Donaldsonville, LA at the age of 74. Born on February 21, 1950, Henry is the son of the late Henry Watkins Sr and Elouise Anderson Watkins. He was the devoted husband of the late Karen Ann McKinney Watkins. His legacy continues through his children, Dana Watkins Washington (Rev. Cleveland A.), a great nephew whom he reared, Darell Richardson (Lanecia), and a niece Katherine Richardson Cohn (Charles). His siblings Sarah, Felinna, and Jerome Amos. Grandchildren: Courtney Faith, Chelcy Delynn Washington, Christian Favorite and Myles Richardson, He was a McDermott Shipyard and Ascension Parish Public Works Department employee. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Friday, August 9, 2024, from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm at the Demby and Sons Funeral Home. Religious services will be conducted by Rev. Cornell Joseph on Saturday, August 10, 2024, at the Mt. Triumph Baptist Church at 11:00 am.
